Northrop Grumman is seeking a Human Resources Assistant 3 to provide support and coordination for the SDS HR Organization. This individual interacts with employees of all levels of the organization and has exposure to sensitive information necessitating considerable use of discretion and judgment. This role will be based in Roy UT.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing support to the SDS HR team located in Roy, UT and Huntsville, AL or activities and projects in the areas of: compensation, metrics/reporting, employee relations, talent acquisition, and training and development.
  • Providing project and key initiative support, including: collecting and consolidating sensitive and confidential information to prepare reports (e.g. attrition, onboarding, exit survey data, etc.), interacting with many different levels within the company to ensure actions are completed timely.
  • Acting as the primary liaison to the HR service center to coordinate mass data change needs and troubleshooting.
  • Assisting managers and employees with Workday transactions and maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Maintaining HR division calendar and coordinating business specific meetings and events, as needed; to include all logistics, order supplies, coordinate travel arrangements and prepare expense reports utilizing the Concur expense management system.
  • Maintaining HR team resources and files in Sharepoint.
  • Conducting regular audits of our people data in Workday
  • Conducting regular and ad hoc reporting for analysis to include attrition, onboarding, and exit survey data.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of information and only view need to know information.

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of HR administrator, HR coordinator, or closely related experience – OR – combination of 4+ years of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of HR policies and practices.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, project coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Proven success as a collaborative team player with an eagerness to learn in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and balance competing priorities.
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Word skills with knowledge and ability to perform V-Lookup, pivot tables, formulas, and macros and create and edit presentations.
  • Experience using HRIS systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.  US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Secret security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
  • Experience in a matrixed organization.
  • Aerospace and Defense experience.
  • Working knowledge of Workday.
  • Working knowledge of Concur.

Salary Range: $42,000.00 - $70,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
