Lockheed Martin Space in Longmont, CO is seeking a Summer 2024 Software Engineer intern. In this role, you will work with senior developers to write code for our mission processing application suite, develop automation tools, and work on an agile team to deliver the product on a regular cadence. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of basic object oriented programming and basic experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++. Must be a US Citizen ; this position will require obtaining a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
• Enrolled in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related degree program from an accredited college/university
• Programming experience or relevant course work (C++/C, Java and/or Python)

Desired Skills:
• Self-driven, strong work ethic and ability to work independently with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Experience developing maintainable code as well as performing unit, integration, and regression testing
• Familiarity with Agile process
• Linux OS background/Experience developing in a Linux environment
• Scripting skills
• Exposure to work high-stakes work environments & executing critical deliverables in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products

"Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $20,904 - $61,672 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
