This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams environments for NASA’s Strategy & Architecture Office (SAO). In this role, you will serve as the primary interface for all SharePoint and Teams environments responsible for training SAO members, recommending platforms based on customer needs, working with team leadership to ensure current content and library structure are correct, and serving as the SharePoint expert for SAO.
SAO is responsible for defining and initiating NASA’s Moon to Mars elements needed for long-term, human-led scientific discovery in deep space. More information here.
This is a full-time hybrid position, working roughly 3-4 days on site. The role can be filled in one of the following locations: JSC/Houston; KSC/Cape Canaveral; GRC/Cleveland; HQ/Washington DC
What You’ll Be Doing
- SharePoint and Teams development and maintenance (80%)
Creation of new SharePoint Online (SPOL) pages as requested by the customer
Maintenance of existing SPOL pages, including retirement of old pages, by working with team leadership to ensure content and links on internal NASA pages is current and correct
Creation and maintenance of Team channels as requested by the customer
Interface with SAO leadership and team members as well as serving as SAO SharePoint POC in related teams such as SAO Data Integration team, etc.
Review coordination of SAO internal documents: Working with the SAO product owners on timelines and distribution/tracking of documents across the agency
Improve and update SPOL and Teams as vendor updates become available
- Serve as SAO administrator for Distribution Lists (10%)
Manage existing distribution Lists within NASA’s Global Outlook
Manage controlled access within SPOL and Teams folders as requested by the customer

Provide weekly status updates at staff meetings Serve as interface to other organizations forums, as needed Other duties as assigned
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in a STEM discipline
- At least 3 years’ experience with SharePoint Online and Teams environments
- 1+ years’ experience working across diverse teams and different engineering disciplines
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Tool Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent teaming skills with an ability to multi-task
- Excellent presentation and communications skills
- Independent and self-motivated; proactive ability to learn on the job
- Willing to travel domestically approx. 10%
- This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

- Advanced degree from an accredited program in a technical discipline
- More than 3 years’ experience with SharePoint Online and Teams environments
- Knowledge and experience of export control and CUI marking
- Experience with NASA, particularly with element development and program/project stand up
- Knowledge of NASA’s Moon to Mars architecture
- Current and active clearance
