Description:The Strategic Transactions Manager will be responsible for Venture Capital & M&A strategic assessments at Lockheed Martin Space. This individual will lead the identification, qualification, evaluation, and execution of equity investments, working in concert with Lockheed Martin Corporate Development. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: development of strategic rationale and business cases for Mergers &Acquisitions (including Joint Ventures and Strategic Alliances), technology assessments and investment theses for Lockheed Martin Ventures (LMV) investments, and Strategic Development Agreements and alternative business case development for the organization, both domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of venture capital and acquisition transactions, strategic teaming, joint venture opportunities, and unsolicited offers
• Lead pipeline development and tracking for proactive transaction sourcing
• Work closely with the LM Space Executive team, Corporate Development and Corporate Strategy, Treasury, Legal and Accounting to evaluate opportunities, prepare review materials, and gain senior executive level approvals to proceed with transaction(s)
• Support due diligence and integration management
• Partner closely with the executive team across all channels of the Space enterprise to develop and evaluate targeted opportunities and secure revenue and cost synergy commitments
• Develop strategic frameworks to analyze and identify value-creating growth and establish key drivers to make successful architectures that capture this value
• Work with other Engineering & Technology, P&L, and Business Development organizations to align financial architectures to strategic needs and gaps
• Work closely with the Space F&BO to bring forth opportunities that align with Space goals to grow customer and shareholder value
• Lead and mentor team of analysts to deliver high quality products
Basic Qualifications:
• At least 3 years direct experience in Mergers & Acquisitions or Venture Capital Investing
• Minimum 5 total years of finance OR transaction oriented roles
• Exceptional technical financial modeling skills
• Demonstrated experience in the identification, qualification, diligence and execution of mergers and acquisitions OR venture capital transactions
Desired Skills:
• Experience working at a venture capital fund or investment banking firm
• A Masters’ degree in a related discipline
• Aerospace & Defense or Space Industry Expertise
• Demonstrated experience leading large cross-functional teams
• Experience leading and mentoring direct or indirect reports

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $118,100 - $226,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
