We’re on the hunt for a Capture Engineer - Electronics on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role :
The Capture Engineer’s primary focus is to accomplish key activities related to the front end of the business. The main objectives are to provide technical leadership and support to new business capture management, preparation of proposals, pricing and cost reduction strategy, product technical presentations to support business development activities for new products. The assignments for this position are typically of high value, complexity and/or criticality.
Tasks :
- Support product bids and proposals
- Works with the New Business Capture Team to identify solutions that best suit customer’s needs
- Opportunities will often necessitate a custom solution.
- The individual will develop technical solutions and prepare technical proposals for specific opportunities
- Supports costing exercises along with the Capture Team
- Prepares proposal package as required
- Participates in customer presentations
- Supports negotiation of won opportunities, and ensures a handoff to the program execution team that passes the plan, cost, schedule, and ethos, value proposition, and product goals that were proposed to the Customer.
Required Qualifications :
- 5 years of experience in relevant technical field. Ideally exposed to satellite subsystems.
- Technical background in digital electronics including PCB and FPGA knowledge
- Experience with motor drive electronics would be an asset.
- Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills.
- Team player and demonstrates a high level of integrity
- Strong analytical skills along with strong creativity
- Thorough knowledge of relevant technologies, products, services and methods.
- Result orientated and exhibits excellent critical thinking
- Works well in a dynamic environment where some of the parameters are unknown and some change regularly.
- Strives to provide customers/clients with personalized and efficient service.
- Industry and market awareness
- Ability to cope with significant workload peaks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, French proficiency would be an asset.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Electric, Physic or Aerospatiale
- Minimum 5 years of experience

Comments/Special Considerations :
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
