Job description

The heart of a spacecraft lies in its propulsion system, and that's why we, at The Exploration Company, are dedicated to developing our own cutting-edge Propulsion Systems ensuring the highest level of efficiency and reliability in our space endeavours.

Key Responsibilities

As the Pressure System Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Design and develop pressure systems to meet project specifications and industry standards.
Conduct detailed engineering analyses to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of the pressurization system throughout the mission.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including propulsion, electrical, and software engineers, to integrate pressure regulation systems into the spacecraft.
Perform simulations and modelling to predict and optimize the performance of pressure regulators under different operating conditions.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed pressure regulation designs, considering factors such as functional/operational conditions, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with suppliers to source components for pressure regulation systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
Lead experimental testing and validation of pressurization architectures and components. Perform data analysis, and performance verification, and identify areas for improvement.

What we would love to see from you

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in the design and development of pressure regulation systems or related technologies.
Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and control systems.
Proficiency in engineering software tools for simulation and modelling (e.g. ANSYS, Ecosim,…).
Experience in programming languages such as Python or C/C++
Experience with test stand/prototype design, operation, analysis, and validation.
Previous experience in the aerospace industry is a plus.
