What You’ll Do:
As Programs Finance Manager, you will be a critical thinker, problem solver, and operational point of contact supporting company-wide strategic initiatives at programs, projects, and tasks. Reporting directly to the Global Financial Controller and working closely with Program Management, Technical Leadership, Pricing, and Growth, you will spearhead programs forecasting, budgeting, and reporting as well as driving government contract accounting and compliance requirements. This role will be an integral part of driving strategic decisions across the business.
Position Responsibilities:
- Execute all position responsibilities in alignment with Slingshot’s core values, mission, and purpose
- Develop, lead, and continually refine a well-framed programs finance operational structure, including budget, forecast, and budget versus actual to improve efficiency and growth
- Partner with Program Management to optimize program P&Ls, identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
- Partner with Technical Leadership on resource and utilization planning
- Present monthly reports and insights that not only inform but empower business leaders to make impactful decisions
- Play a key role in the development of Board presentations and materials to accurately reflect business intelligence to crucial stakeholders
- Establish, monitor, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) across the company to ensure alignment and attainment to company objectives and goals
- Craft insightful reports and dashboards, unveiling financial performance, trends, and strategic areas for improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned (to be less than 10% of the responsibilities listed above)
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in programs finance operations, including expertise in government contract accounting requirements
- Expert knowledge of financial statements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred, or a combination of education and work experience
- Exceptional proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for financial modeling preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Regular travel is not expected
Preferred Skills
- Ability to partner with departmental and functional leaders as a Finance team representative and liaison
- Detailed oriented with both willingness and ability to create Excel-based documentation along with supporting automated systematic functionality
- Aerospace, Defense, and Government industry and enterprise software knowledge

Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000
