Red Canyon Software is looking for a passionate Systems Test Engineer with 4+ years of experience to assist with an aerospace telecommunications program get to launch!

Contract position lasting 9-12 months initially, with extension possible.
Location: Broomfield, CO

Duties:

  • Provide unit and system level Environmental (mechanical and thermal) Testing support for functional, acceptance, and qualification testing of space flight hardware
  • Perform/Supervise all Environmental (mechanical and thermal) Testing
  • Monitor vibration variables (accelerometers, strain gauges, load cells, etc) and thermal vacuum chamber variables during testing
  • Installation, routing, and troubleshooting of accelerometers, load cells and strain gauges, as well as heaters and thermocouples onto space flight hardware and test equipment
  • Handle space flight hardware in accordance with procedures
  • Maintain best test procedures for each team
  • Report directly to the Technical Manager

Required Skills:

  • Ability to run and operate basic computer programs
  • Understanding of using Electronic Volt meters, Accelerometers, performing Modal, Sine Sweep, Random and Shock Testing & the ability of reading technical drawings
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude and knowledge of different types of Hand Tools and Torque wrenches
  • Ability to work in shifts
  • Excited to navigate cross-culturally in an international environment
  • Good communication skills, team spirit and sense of human relationships 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional work experience.
  • Experience in a testing environment and working with test equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards and technical requirements
  • Demonstrated familiarity with data acquisition systems, data analysis and data processing
  • Strong safety mindset and experience, including hands-on experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operations

We also work on classified programs.
