York Space Systems is seeking a Capacity Planner to support Production Planning and Master Scheduling activities. Planning workforce, workspace and equipment resources. Writing reports outlining your analysis and suggestions for management. The career typically requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in supply chain management and relevant work experience. Additional qualifications include excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, along with problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Develop optimized capacity plans for complex, program driven, manufacturing demand.
- Long term capacity planning. 12-36 Months
- Working within the S&OP framework to proactively identify capacity needs.
- Short term capacity planning. 0-12 Months
- Work with Master Scheduling and Production Planning to identify capacity constraints and opportunities for resource and demand leveling.
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Master Scheduling and Production Planning to understand capacity needs, resource types and availability and develop capacity plans.
- Summarize and communicate capacity needs and risks to meet organizational goals.
- Evaluate schedule changes for capacity impacts and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop and present understandable reporting to illustrate capacity landscape.
- Continuous review of systems and methods to:
- Develop improvements to tools and processes.
- Improve execution in meeting organization goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience in capacity planning or related field. 5 years’ experience in lieu of degree.
- Ability to quickly learn operational procedures, new software, and technical subjects.
- Proficient in MS Excel and MRP driven scheduling.
- Ability to critically think to find optimal solutions to complex capacity issues.
- Analytical and detail oriented.
- Effectively communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset.
- Active Security Clearance a plus.
