We’re on the hunt for a motivated and talented Engineering Student in our Manufacturing department at our Montreal office. This is a 4 or 8 months assignation starting in May 2024.

Overall, the successful candidate would be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date.

As our Engineering Student, you will:

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  •  Monitor the development of continuous improvement activities
  •  Participate in the development of various documents/processes
  •  Participate in the development of 5S best practices
  •  Keep plant layout plan up to date
  •  Participate in the optimization of certain processes
  •  Ensure communication between the various players  
  •  Be a positive initiator of change and suggest new concepts
  •  Improve quality and safety in production and test areas
  •  Understand and analyze internal processes  
  •  Participate in the development and improvement of the supply chain, and support component supplier follow-up activities 
  •  Other related tasks. 

Experience and skills required:

Interested candidates should be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in automation engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering or computer science with three (3) years completed. 

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders;
  • Motivation and ability to think for oneself, without supervision;
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment;
  • Strong interest in innovation and new technologies;
  • Knowledge of ERP systems;
  • Knowledge of MES systems.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Visio
  • Bilingual (English/French)

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
