We are seeking a motivated and talented Engineering Student in our Power and RF engineering department at our Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue office. This is a 4 month mandate (with a possibility of 8 months) starting in May 2024.

Overall, the candidate would be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date.

The candidate will participate in the development of test equipment and may participate in testing of satellite electronic units for various MDA programs.

As our Engineering Student, you will:

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to work with the development of test equipment that will be used for testing satellite electronic units;
  • Assist the engineers during testing of satellite electronic units;
  • Be part of an engineering team specializing in test equipment, otherwise called electrical ground support equipment (EGSE);
  • Participate in the design and manufacturing of electrical test equipment and cable harnesses.
  • Participate in design documentation such as diagrams, assembly drawings, analysis, bill of materials, and test procedures;
  • Support procurement, manufacturing and validation of test equipment;

Experience and skills required:

  • Hands-on experience in electronic design;
  • Skills in printed circuit board (PCB) design;
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team;
  • Interest for laboratory work.

Assets:

  • Diptrace or equivalent PCB cad tool.
  • Knowledge of stepper motors and drives
  • Knowledge of Python or VBA.
  • Knowledge of microcomputers (Raspberry Pi / Arduino)
  • Knowledge of PSoC programming
  • Visio and Microsoft office suite.
  • Bilingual (French / English)
