Description

Reusable systems are the key to seamlessly connecting Earth and space. As a Machine Shop Planner, you will play a fundamental role in achieving extreme shop throughput while maintaining shop flexibility in a mixed R&D/Production environment. You will work directly with the engineering team to understand and orchestrate the complex coordination of part priorities and machine shop resources. You will anticipate design changes and maintain flexibility for critical emergent work. You must be ready to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of professional experience in manufacturing planning / coordination.
  • Excellent organization, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Must be available to support multiple shifts. Overtime and/or weekend work may be requested as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lead
  • Ability to follow

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Work directly with engineering teams and engineering leadership to understand program and part priorities.
  • Coordinate machine shop resources to execute part manufacturing efficiently while maintaining flexibility for critical emergent parts.
  • Work with engineering software teams to implement and improve planning software solutions for machine shop planning.
  • Recommend process, infrastructure, and tooling improvements to increase shop throughput.
  • Communicate daily with key stakeholders
  • Anticipate and embrace constant change and emergent priorities

Compensation

Level 1: $71,700 - $107,500

Level 2: $89,600 - $134,500

Level 3: $112,000 - $168,100
