Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Intelligence Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Chantilly, Virginia.

This role is a part of our NGAS Advanced Development Team to evaluate the performance of existing and candidate system designs in representative operational environments. Our work influences the investment decisions of our senior leadership and customer program offices.

In this role you will collaborate with individuals across a wide variety of disciplines including operations analysis, modeling and simulation, survivability, systems engineering, aerospace engineering.

Essential Functions:

Conducting independent research on select technical intelligence operational topics focusing on system development, architecture, and applying lessons learned to new systems and capabilities.

Provide subject matter expertise regarding tasking, planning, and execution of intelligence collection and cyber operations, including exploitation of radio signals of interest.

Providing the results of this research and analysis in the form of briefings and written studies as a liaison between customer stakeholders and technical engineering team.ย  May include facilitating working group level development with technical engineering team and customer requirement development.

Providing analytical assistance to engineering teams by leveraging knowledge of parametric data, threat system performance, concepts of operations (CONOPS), and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures.

Supporting engineering team with CONOPS, operator requirements, visualization concepts, and technical data derived from intelligence sources.

Ability to work both independent and in a team in a fast-paced environment, and brief technical approach and status to senior management.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelorโ€™s Degree and 15 years of related professional / military experience in the Intelligence Community OR a masterโ€™s degree and 13 years of related professional /military experience

Experience in the intelligence community operations, tactics, and targeting techniques.

A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance or higher is required to start, with the ability to attain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with Special Program Access (PAR/SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive experience working in the intelligence community and have working knowledge of Intelligence, Surveillance, & Reconnaissance (ISR) airborne systems.

Understanding of intelligence collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination within the intelligence community.

Applicant must be able to work in a team environment with engineering, Ops Analysis, Modeling/Simulation professionals, security personnel and other computer/facility support organizations sharing a secure facility.

Operational military background in any of the following:

  • Overhead and tactical intelligence collection
  • Special Operations Support
  • Electronic Warfare Officer/Weapons Systems Officer
  • Air Battle Manager
  • Intelligence Officer

Specific experience with all-source research and analysis of complex adversary weapon systems, technologies, and/or military operations and architectures.

Working knowledge in various aspects of advanced air and space assets (air and space vehicles, ground stations, operations, sensor and weapons payloads, and/or communications) and associated technologies.

Experience with signal intelligence (SIGINT) collection and/or analysis and cyber operations.

Excellent writing skills, briefing skills, and analytical mindset

A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance with current or previous Special Program Access (SAP)/SCI with adjudicated polygraph.

Proficient in modern standard Arabic language.

Salary Range: $149,900.00 - $224,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
