Maxar is currently seeking a Collection Planning Analyst to join the Satellite Collection Planning team in Longmont, CO.

Your Project: In this role, you will balance a daily focus on the execution of the near-term collection plan with a strategic view of the future state of Maxar’s constellation. You will manage satellite collection objectives in support of existing and potential requirements for Maxar’s customers, including the satellite’s orbit, cloud coverage, customer prioritization, and more. You will utilize a variety of technical systems, business intelligence, weather/climate data, and collaboration with customers to accomplish your mission.

What you'll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):
Daily hands-on modification/adjustment of the collection schedule.
Perform analysis of future and current projects for estimated completion timelines.
Provide effective communication with team members, cross-departmental staff, and customers regarding project status, milestones, issues and resolution.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product fulfillment.
Escalate operational issues as needed with team management and technical support teams.
As a team, provide 10x7 support for collection planning activities.
As an individual, provide support outside of regular shifts as required to support 24/7 operations.
Minimum requirements for this position:
Must be a U.S. citizen with and active Secret security clearance
Associate's degree in engineering, GIS, geography, math, physics, or a related field. Two additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with ArcMap or other GIS applications
Minimum of 6 months of internal or external customer-facing experience
Ability to accommodate a rotating work schedule that includes working alternative weekends
These skills would be amazing:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, GIS, geography, math, physics, or a related field
Experience in an operations or satellite planning systems environment
Strong ability to communicate technical issues with engineers
Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills
Creative thinker who looks for the best solution for all stakeholders
Familiarity with remote sensing products and applications
Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to support time-sensitive requirements
Ability to prioritize work based upon high-level requirements
A self-starter and initiative taker
Ability to develop corrective actions and preventative solutions
Mentorship skills and the desire to professionally develop others
Desire to lead continuous improvement initiatives

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
$57,000.00 - $95,000.00 annually.
