Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and validate NB NTN radio access features for Base Station L2-3 according to 3GPP specifications
  • Design, implement and validate Skylo specific RAN enhancements
  • Actively contribute to architecture, design, and code reviews of Base Station software
  • Design and develop performance criteria, unit tests, logging and other support infrastructure to help ensure the quality of the developed RAN features
  • Actively contribute to development of Base Station interfaces towards Core network and operational systems to facilitate Skylo’s unique end-to-end non-terrestrial network 
  • Support Skylo network engineering teams as a subject matter expert on RAN technology
  • Actively contribute to Base Station productisation and release documentation

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science/Telecommunications (or equivalent) required, or Bachelor's degree with considerable industrial experience
  • 5+ years software engineering / development experience
  • Solid understanding of GNU / Linux operating system environments
  • Strong programming and testing experience in C++ on Linux platform, using Git for source control is a must
  • Knowledge of telecommunication systems (4G/5G) protocols and stacks, including NB-IoT and NB NTN
  • Experience with other programming languages such as Python is a plus
  • Highly collaborative, with excellent communication skills, and able to work independently with minimum supervision
