INTERN @ SPACEWORKS


Are you seeking a degree in business with an interest in human resources? 


SpaceWorks is seeking an intern for the Summer 2024 (May- August) to support our human resources function. This intern would work with our HR Manager to assist with HR and operational tasks, as well as various related duties.


We are passionate about what we do and we’re looking for someone with a keen interest in high-speed flight, aircraft, rockets, small satellites, and/or space exploration. We work with sponsors at the US Air Force, NASA, and other organizations, partnering to develop a range of advanced technologies. Given the nature of our work, US Person status is required. The position is located 100% onsite at our Atlanta, GA office and is a seasonal, full-time hourly position.


A DAY IN THE LIFE


  • Assist with various HR initiatives and special projects
  • You will exercise initiative, creative problem-solving, teamwork and leadership as you interact with other personnel through our organization
  • Conduct research and data analysis to support key HR initiatives and leverage insights to inform overall HR strategies
  • Develop a knowledge and understanding of processes within the department and throughout the organization
  • Learn all facets of the HR work cycle, including recruiting, onboarding, learning and development, and HR operations


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


  • College student pursuing a degree (BS, MS, or PhD) in business management, human resources, or a related field
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking skills, time management skills, and ability to work independently
  • Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving and follow-through ability, with proven success in managing multiple and diverse priorities
  • Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Windows operating systems
  • Available 40 hours per week for Summer 2024 (May- August)
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Involvement/ leadership in organizations on campus, prior internship experience, and strong GPA
  • MUST be able to work in-person for the duration of the internship located in Atlanta, GA
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
