a.i. solutions, Inc. is looking for a highly-motivated Senior System Engineer with a passion for aerospace. This person will be a hands-on contributor (in a role that can be performed REMOTELY) to the Flight Dynamics development team as they continue their work on developing ground segment, Space Domain Awareness, and modelling and simulation applications for our Space Force customer. The individual will join an existing organization committed to exceeding the expectations of Customer, taking care of the Team, adding Company value, and Self growth.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient and novel flight dynamics algorithms for use in real time spacecraft operations, Space Domain Awareness analysis tools, and modeling and simulation applications.
  • Support the development of flight dynamics software components and systems through the entire software development life cycle including trade studies, requirement definition, development, unit and integration testing, anomaly resolution and sustainment.
  • Coordinate and communicate with users and supervisors to understand spacecraft operations concepts, software and system requirements, and space surveillance sensor operations.
  • Work with customer project management to establish schedules, identify resources, and report project status; support the development team to meet project milestones.
  • Document and communicate your work to peers and customers through both formal and informal forums.
  • Continually research the latest progress in flight dynamics analysis, software, and operations to grow our value to the customer.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in spacecraft operations, analysis, or ground system development
  • Knowledge of and experience in spacecraft flight dynamics including trajectory and maneuver planning, navigation and orbit determination, attitude determination and design, surveillance sensor observations and/or conjunction assessment; Experience with FreeFlyer is highly preferred.
  • Software development experience including full life cycle understanding; experience with JAVA development is highly preferred.
  • US citizenship
