The Position:

We are seeking a Human Resources Administrator with excellent, technical, customer and communication skills to join our HR team.Β  As the HR Administrator, you will be an integral part of the Human Resources administration team, responsible for managing the high volume of day-to-day administration and coordination activities. The HR Administrator is to maintain and provide administrative support to the Human Resources Management System (HRMS).Β  In addition, the Human Resources Administrator will support a variety of HR administrative tasks within the Department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains electronic, physical and HRMS personnel records in compliance with Company policy and all applicable legislation
  • Ensures accurate and timely entry of new hire, data change, promotions, HR transactions, termination, benefit enrollment information and all other relevant information related to employee lifecycle into the HRMS while maintaining data integrity.
  • Key ambassador for employee onboarding through regular welcome presentation and benefits orientation.
  • First level of HR support answering basic HR inquiries then providing navigational guidance and rerouting of employee inquiries to appropriate HR team members on various HR-related issues
  • Prepares routine reports for periodic and ad-hoc audit purposes, reviewing information for validity, and actions accordingly in a timely fashion. Includes; professional development dollars, quarterly reports, length of service and peer awards.
  • Provides first level of support for business process issues and employee data management through ongoing maintenance and evaluation of data integrity.
  • Key liaison for all special events and celebrations within the HR Department.
  • Assist with additional ad hoc duties as necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in human resources or similar role in a dynamic, fast paced environment, with a strong customer service orientation
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources and/or Business Administration strongly preferred but will consider years of experience in lieu of education.
  • Superior communication skills (oral and written) with all levels of employees, with an understanding and appreciation of customer requirements
  • Sense of urgency with the ability to respond in a timely and efficient manner
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Strong technology orientation, with the ability and/or experience to utilize an HRMS system to create customized reporting to support business objectives
  • Previous experience with an HRMS
  • Previous knowledge or familiarity with benefits plan administration and reporting is an asset
  • Experience with administering a time and attendance system is an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow through and deliver results
  • Must possess tact, diplomacy and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to work with discretion and in a confidential manner
