Description
Technical Coordination Officer reporting to the Head of the Infrastructure and Information Management Office (TEC-I), in the Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality (D/TEC).
The Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality is responsible for the technological developments necessary to implement ESA’s programmes. It is also responsible for the implementation of ESA’s general technology activities and coordinates technology developments within their specific programme lines.
You will support organisational processes by handling information, assisting the Director, participating in various activities, conducting analyses, managing documentation and overseeing internal projects.
This role is designed for a junior candidate with potential, offering the opportunity to subsequently specialise in a technical discipline in preparation for a potential leadership position.
Duties
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- researching, compiling and analysing information on general or cross-cutting topics to facilitate decision-making processes;
- supporting the Director, including in the function of Head of Establishment, in specific areas and committees;
- preparing and providing support for presentations, workshops and board meetings;
- attending on-site events, reviews, PR events and other internal or external meetings or workshops;
- conducting analysis, planning, monitoring and forecasting using available data, practices or trends;
- preparing and reviewing presentations, speeches, documents and scorecards and following up on tasks and information;
- filtering and providing support in correspondence;
- participating in high-level management meetings, such as the ESTEC Board and the TEC Board;
- supporting and overseeing various internal improvement projects;
- supporting, managing and leading internal communication events;
- following up on status of actions and improvement work streams.

Education
A master's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics and/or business administration is required for this post.

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.

In principle, recruitment will be within the advertised grade band (A2-A4). However, if the selected candidate has less than four years of relevant professional experience following the completion of the master’s degree, the position may be filled at A1 level.
