Duties

Work collaboratively with the Program Senior Management team to obtain Program content and develop products and marketing strategies.
Transform overall strategies into actionable public outreach initiatives, processes, activities, and projects.
Develop, integrate, justify, track and defend associated budgets.
Manage, coordinate and track Program public outreach-related initiatives, projects, activities and products including associated costs, budgets and timelines.
Develop, coordinate, integrate, and manage internal and external public outreach-related processes.
Responsible for long-range Program project planning and coordinates the formulation, modification, and determination of communication requirements on behalf of the Program.
Serve as an authoritative source of information within Program about strategic communication decisions and guidance concerning changes in program objectives as identified in the Program Strategic Communications Plan.
Maintain the status and progress of work and make day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities for complex assignments with frequently changing requirements, participants and deadlines.

This is a bargaining unit position - American Federation of Government Employees - Local 513.
This position may require a one-year trial period.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level:

Supporting the development and distribution of communication products to management or stakeholders;
Conducting marketing, advertisement, or branding through written communication, video/photo editing, and/or artistic production;
Monitoring and updating social media platforms such as Twitter/X or Facebook.
