EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for Software Engineer – Service Delivery Group in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is located at our Germantown, MD office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deploy and maintain infrastructure in the LAB and UAT environments.
• Design and implement lab infrastructure to support new software application deployments within SDS using virtualization tools.
• Responsible for data center infrastructure used for application development and testing by the Service Delivery Group.
• Ensure network/software reliability, scalability, security, data confidentiality and system integrity.

Basic Requirements: 

• Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus 6 months’ experience in networking software OR Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus 5 years’ experience in networking software.
• Experience must include 6 months in each of the following: load balancers; firewalls; Docker containers; Linux; AWS; Splunk; AppDynamics; and VMware.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
