This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will  push the boundaries of what’s possible in security management in support of various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of physical security technology, including physical security, threat management, and investigations. This position will have a matrix reporting to the Information System Security Manager while assisting site security managers with technology needs. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support implementation and maintenance of camera and access control software and hardware devices; working with networking and installation vendors
  • Provide hands-on service and connectivity resolution for technical security devices
  • High-level CCURE architecture implementation management: Events, maps, card formats, areas, and zones
  • Manage a group of highly motivated technicians doings installations and programming of access control, CCTV, and other technology solutions
  • Understand how to read construction drawings and markup as needed for installations
  • Help manage construction projects across the enterprise.
  • Manage sub-contractors and timelines for installation projects across the enterprise
  • Support Security Managers by providing technical assistance during investigations
  • Assist with programming access control and training of others in proper programming
  • Support site security managers with the implementation and maintenance of Visitor management system workflows and configurations.
  • Support the creation of custom application layouts in the access control system.
  • Support the creation of custom reports and queries as needed in the access control system.
  • Support in an asset management system to track, manage, and maintain all technical security devices
  • Assist site security managers with customizations of access control projects and implementation
  • Help plan for enterprise growth and opportunities to use technology to assist.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Perform basic software configuration management.
  • Experience managing a diverse team
  • Minimum 5 years in project management
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with access control
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network devices and connections, as well as server and computer infrastructure.
  • Experience with network devices, including an understanding of VLANs, DHCP, and network scanning and mapping. 
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Other qualifications that are desired, but not required:
  • Experience with access control systems
  • Experience with CCTV systems
  • Experience with visitor management systems
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. government Top Secret security clearance.
  • CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certification
