Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated interns to join our world-class team for the summer of 2024 and help create the future of affordable, high-reliability space systems. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated practical problem-solving experience in their hobbies, academic projects, and/or previous internships.

The Operations Research intern will support data collection, analysis efforts, and development of key dashboards to help drive efficiency at Millennium Space Systems. Potential applications include helping to identify and implement methods for measuring and monitoring core company metrics; analyzing data to help optimize current manufacturing/supply processes; and developing interactive dashboards to provide users gain key insights from existing data.

Job Responsibilities

• Collecting, validating, and analyzing data to support internal stakeholders
• Leveraging data to support the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes
• Developing dashboards in Power BI to provide insight on key manufacturing processes
• Performing ad-hoc and recurring analyses for various stakeholders using Excel, SQL, or other scripting tools
• Other job duties

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD degree 
• Interest in exploring various datasets and extracting key insights
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Self-starter and a team player
• Familiarity analyzing data with Excel, SQL, Python, or R
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus

Compensation:

We’re excited to offer a competitive compensation package for this paid internship. All summer interns will also receive a bi-weekly stipend throughout their tenure here.
