Position Purpose: The Mission Assurance Engineer I will support the Mission Assurance and Design Assurance teams with the execution of tasks, analysis and projects for Spacecraft and Component groups. Engage across teams inside and outside of Mission Assurance to facilitate communication and engineering updates. Engage and understand the company tools and systems to pull data to support the team.

Job Responsibilities:
- Works with Mission Assurance Engineers in the following disciplines: Mission Assurance Managers, Quality Assurance, Electrical Reliability Engineering, EEE Parts Engineering and Materials and Process Engineering
- Develops data collection to develop EEE Parts and Reliability analyses process and tools
- Work in coordination with the EEE parts Engineer and Radiation Effects Engineer to understand requirements of EEE Parts and electrical part selection for space environments
- Work in coordination with Materials and Process Engineering to understand requirements of material selection for space environments
- Supports Hardware Quality Engineering in collaborating with engineering functions to improve product and/or processes
- Reviews non-conformances for engineering root cause and address design and manufacturing areas for improvement.
- Supports Mission Assurance Managers in tracking program deliverable items and coordinating with other Mission Assurance disciplines for completed analysis and assessments
- Performs other work as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- A completed technical degree from a four-year university; BS, BSE, or MS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent technical discipline
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
- Knowledge or willingness to learn Microsoft Office tools with an emphasis on Excel
- Strong ability to learn new tools and systems by self-discovery and mentorship
- Strong ability to work in teams and collaborate with peers and internal customers
- Strong analytical skills – comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data
- Ability to learn new processes quickly and effectively multi-task and exercise time management
- Effective communication skills; comfortable working in a team environment; high energy and desire to learn
- Demonstrated leadership experience through school or extracurricular projects
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
