We are seeking Engineers who are self-motivated and energetic with a background in Software Development and Electrical Engineering who have worked on projects involving communications equipment and who have experience developing schedules for Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools used to generate Ghantt charts for our Cincinnati, Ohio location.

Essential Functions:

·        Will be responsible for problem solving and developing technical solutions related to voice switching systems.

·        Will contribute to system requirements generation, workload forecasting, task planning, generating program roadmaps, and reviewing program documentation and deliverables including parts tracking and delivery of complete Line-Replaceable Units in existing FAA Voice Switch systems.

·        Will be responsible for planning and maintaining the schedule for architecting, designing, testing, and deploying voice switching systems.

Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Engineer level:

·        9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a technical area (BSEE or other Engineering discipline); or 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree in a technical area (BSEE or other Engineering discipline); or 4 years of relevant experience with a Ph.D. in a technical area (BSEE or other Engineering discipline)

- An additional 4 years of relevant experience/education can be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree

·        US citizenship

·        Experience with software development and/or  

·        Experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence

·        Experience preparing and delivering briefings for Customer and Engineering Leadership

·        Experience developing system use scenarios and representing system end user perspectives to the internal engineering team

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Experience with modernized software development processes (e.g., Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps)

·        Experience with or Certification in Communications Equipment

·        Experience managing and tracking procurement of program materials

·        Experience leading small engineering development teams and ensuring work is completed in accordance with design and development processes

·        Experience working under processes common to Prime Defense Contractors

·        Highly motivated to solve complex problems and continuously improve

·        Ability to produce high quality work both independently and with a team

·        Strong verbal and written technical communication skills

·        Ability to work well with a high-performing and results-oriented product development team

·        Ability to develop customer presentations and present to the customer in the case of the Systems Engineering Manager’s absence

This position offers the option of a 9/80 work schedule. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work nine-hour days Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Salary Range: $109,900.00 - $164,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
