We are seeking a Spectral Image Scientist to join our team and support a variety of innovative programs. This position will join a team of dedicated scientists and engineers that simultaneously drive research and development while delivering industry-leading products to government and commercial customers.

You’ll have the opportunity to conduct detailed research using a myriad of satellite imagery and terrain data sources to drive forward our research and development projects.
Work with our team to download, process, and classify medium and high-resolution satellite imagery with an emphasis on understanding how results relate to solutions that can be applied consistently to any location on the earth.
In this role you will balance skills in remote sensing earth science with artificial intelligence and machine learning data processing techniques
Requirements/Skills:
Minimum Requirements:
15 years of experience in remote sensing and earth science analytics leveraging common spatial data processing tools (e.g., with ERDAS Imagine, ENVI), processing of GIS datasets (e.g., in ArcGIS), and spatial data analytic frameworks (e.g. Matlab)
Familiarity with civilian & commercial sensors such as Sentinel-2, Landsat, MODIS, and Maxar Worldview imagery, and Precision 3D Terrain Data products.
Strong background in understanding the physics of remote sensing and translating that expertise into both small- and large-scale production environments.
Successful candidate must have excellent communication and writing skills, and the ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative setting.
Master's degree or PhD in geography, remote sensing, environmental science, agriculture or a related discipline.
A demonstrated ability to collaborate with computer, engineering, aerospace, and data scientists to produce next generation foundational mapping products.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Skills:
RADAR processing and interpretation skills
Python programming
Ability to deploy workflows to AWS
Active Security Clearance

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
$137,000.00 - $229,000.00 annually.
