Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Manufacturing Engineer for the NGI Program in Courtland, AL. In this role, you will:
• Develop and implement Manufacturing Work instructions Plans (MWIs's) for a variety of cables and harnesses.
• Utilize basic drafting and software programs to develop MWIs's, design tooling, support equipment, process flows.
• Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators to facilitate assembly performance.
• Apply lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields.
• Investigate root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement.
• Providing shop floor support
• Engineering change implementation and coordinating changes in the build process within cable and harness facility.
• Support day-to-day cable and harnesses builds and Test areas of Manufacturing.
• Creating procedures and operations for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
• Providing guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of electro-mechanical, cable and harness, or industrial processes, technical writing; knowledge of change control, configuration management, process definition/management and data analysis; and knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques, Creo or equivalent CAD software, tool design, electronic packaging design. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or STEM related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical, cable and harness, or industrial processes, technical writing
• Knowledge of change control, configuration management, process definition/management and data analysis
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques, Creo or equivalent CAD software, tool design, electronic packaging design.
• This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen
Desired Skills:
• Experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Experienced with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
