The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Space & Launch division seeks a Facility Maintenance Specialist to join the team located at the Kennedy Space Center, FL, to support the X-37B program.

Position Responsibilities:

• Follow established customer preventive maintenance program to repair and maintain plant and office facilities.
• Support internal customers by responding to repair calls and resolving problems using appropriate equipment and procedures.
• Monitor and maintain Clean Work Areas (CWAs) and clean rooms within required cleanliness standards.
• Perform facilities construction and repair tasks such as painting, carpentry, sheet metal fabrication and drywall.
• Complete installations and repairs that may involve such skills as electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Use assorted tools and equipment to construct, renovate, and maintain facilities.
• Instructs others in the use of various types of office and maintenance equipment and tools.
• Comply with safety, building, security, and environmental codes and regulations.

This position is expected to be fully onsite at the Kennedy Space Center.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

This position is contingent on clearance verification and customer concurrence.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Successful completion of a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years.
• 3+ years of experience in facility repair and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Technical Trade School (ABET Certified Preferred) or Aerospace Technology Technician Certification or training in addition to high school diploma or GED is highly preferred.
• Experience operating various personnel lifts or aerial lifts.
• Experience in fork lift operation.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

Relocation:
