Intern Test Engineer

Blue Canyon Technologies is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Test Engineer Intern to join our BCT Summer in Space Internship program. Applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university. In addition, applicants must be enrolled fall semester 2023. This will be a full-time position for the summer for approximately 10 weeks, starting at the end of May 2024.

Pay Range: $27.56 - $29.29 hour (Salary rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Location: Lafayette, CO

Job Responsibilities:

• Work in a fast-paced team environment
• Assist test engineers with integration and test of spacecraft avionics and harnessing
• Aid in writing, updating, and executing test procedures
• Support in the use of test and measurement equipment to test and troubleshoot hardware
• Assist in the development and modification of test scripts
• Assist in maintaining required test engineering logs and records
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units, and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

 

• Currently pursuing a degree from an accredited university. Must be working towards a degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• At start of internship, must have completed greater than or equal to two years of previous college coursework

• Strong ability to work in teams and collaborate with peers and internal customers
• Strong analytical skills – comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data
• Ability to learn new processes quickly and effectively multi-task
• Effective communication skills; comfortable working in a team environment; high energy and desire to learn.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through school or extracurricular projects

Position Details:

• 3-month paid internship
• 40 hours per week

• No relocation assistance

Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filling cabinets and fax machines.
