Program Manager  

 

National Institute of Aerospace (NIA) has an opening for a Program Manager position at the National Aerospace Research and Technology Park (NARTP) in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, near the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center.   This position reports directly to the President and Executive Director of NIA.  The Program Manager will be responsible for managing all NIA activities at NARTP and will directly support the President of NARTP in managing and growing its research and operations.  

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

 

  • Manage all NIA activities at NARTP and lead the development of new business opportunities for NIA and NARTP.
  • Assist the NARTP President in managing current and future FAA business activity (e.g., establishing an unmanned systems air corridor in Southern NJ in collaboration with the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst).
  • Lead/assist in the development of new business opportunities with the U.S. and State of New Jersey Economic Development Authorities in collaboration with the Atlantic County Economic Alliance (ACEA).
  • Assist the NARTP President in all aspects of Park Management as requested, including representing NARTP in stakeholder meetings in place of the President.
  • Provide administrative (e.g., audiovisual) support for NARTP as requested.
  • Collaborate with ACEA to develop a Smart Aviation Cluster in Southern NJ, centered in Atlantic County.

 

Requirements:

 

  • MS/MBA degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in related field.
  • Working knowledge of federal law and regulations in the area of aviation and airspace.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills.
  • Experience working in innovation and entrepreneurial workspaces.  
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with short turnaround times.
