Legal and Contract Manager

Within the Legal, Contracts and Trade Compliance team of Thales Alenia Space Italia, you
will report to the Legal & Contracts manager in charge of Roma team. The
position is based in Roma (Italia).

Thales Alenia Space is a key player in space activities, in particular in the domain of
telecommunication, navigation, Earth Observation, radar, orbital infrastructures for both civil
and military applications as well as for institutional or commercial customers and proposes a
wide range of equipment and solutions in relation thereof.

Position Summary – Key responsibilities and principle tasks, The position covers a broad range of activities on both commercial and institutional markets and more specifically:

• Prepare and implementing legal arrangements and solutions
  Participate in the preparation of bids following the internal process from Gate 1
  through Gate 3 (from bid-no-bid decision to contract implementation and management), including elaboration of contractual risk analysis and mitigation,
• Prepare Legal memo for bids, when applicable
• Prepare, negotiate and manage contracts and agreements with customers partners and suppliers,
• Liaise with Procurement to ensure flow down of Terms and Conditions of the main
  contracts to the suppliers,
• Ensure compatibility between the different commitments, their compliance with
  Group directives, their legal compliance with respect to applicable legislation and
  regulations, and their security,
• Focal point with Customers / suppliers regarding contractual matters arising in the
  performance of the Contract,
• Establish and maintain contract baseline and contracts records and maintain
  necessary documentation to provide evidence in case of breach of customers /
  suppliers obligations (pre-litigation documentation),
• Monitor contractual risks, escalate issues and propose action plans or solutions to
  program teams,
• Coordinate with Trade Compliance team of the company to ensure that all
  activities of the company are compliant with trade compliance rules.

• Experience with big and complex contracts
• Soft skills: team work, proactive, accountability, commitment, managerial attitude will be evaluated
• Availability to travel Good knowledge of both English and Italian, French is a plus
