Enterprise System Administrator
Orbion is seeking an Enterprise System Administrator. The Sys Admin will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of enterprise applications such accounting software, MRP, ERP, etc. Additionally, the admin will participate in new software selection and drive migration to support growing needs of the company. The Sys Admin will have significant responsibility in the small but growing IT team. The successful candidate will have significant experience with a wide variety of IT software platforms, systems, and databases. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and driven by a fast-paced, exciting, and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee existing enterprise software, including deploying updates and ensuring system uptime
- Work with other IT personnel to ensure systems are properly backed up
- Work with other IT personnel to ensure that systems are secure
- Develop and implement software training
- Develop and implement a company IT roadmap consistent with the business goals of the company
- Following the roadmap, support continual improvement of company enterprise software through deployment of new commercial and custom software
- Collaborate with all members of the Orbion leadership to deploy data processing and archival systems that support manufacturing and testing
- Evaluate, purchase, and deploy software systems to support company operations
- Manage external contractors to improve, upgrade, and deploy custom database applications
- Develop and maintain accurate and transparent technical documentation (procedures and work instructions) of critical processes to ensure ongoing operations of all business dependent IT resources
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Must meet the requirements of a United States Person
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT Administration, or equivalent training
- 10 or more years of experience in IT in a business environment
- Experience with the Microsoft 365, Azure, and EntraID cloud platforms
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple short- and long-term projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with business database systems, e.g., accounting software, ERP, CRM, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other database systems
- Experience with VMWare or similar system virtualization
- Familiarity with manufacturing and/or quality systems, MRP, etc.
- Familiarity with the management of engineering software such as CAD software, test software, configuration management software, simulation software packages
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC
