Responsibilities: 

• The System Engineer will support requirements analysis, trade studies, system and interface design, system integration
• This position will work closely with other systems engineers, Subject Matter Experts, software engineers, and hardware engineers to support system engineering tasks throughout the program lifecycle
• Successful candidate can look forward to a fast-paced, diverse work environment providing Engineering support for multiple project teams
• Support internal and external interface development and documentation
• Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, interfaces, and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility
• Develop new and novel methodologies for improving system integration
• Employ new technologies to solve problems and then apply those solutions

Requirements:

• 15 years bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or +10 years with Masters
• 10+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience in “Space level designs.” 
• Strong electrical engineering fundamentals, including analog and digital design.
• Experience in the following areas:
  1. High-speed digital design work
  2. Fundamentals of signal and power integrity
  3. Must have familiarity with “Space level” parts:
     • Manufacturers and vendors. 
     • Radiation Parts levels for “TID, SEU, SEL.”
     • NASA Part screening levels 
  4. VPX design/specification+ (plus but not needed)   
  5. Understanding of low voltage power regulation solutions
  6. Integration of hardware into multi-functional systems
  7. Familiarity with the challenges of taking a product from design through to production.
  8. PCB layout and routing rules understanding
  9. Understanding and development of system architecture designs with (NASA level) space parts

Salary Range: $140,000 - $185,000/year

ITAR REQUIREMENT 

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
