Associate Project Manager – Electrical Ground Support Equipment

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our electrical ground support equipment group in our Chandler, AZ facility.  Our electrical ground support equipment (EGSE) team supports our programs with the design, test, and sustainment of all launch support and test support equipment hardware used in the integration and launch of our vehicles. Our EGSE team members work in a diverse set of roles across the lifecycle of a program.

Job responsibilities:

  • Act as the daily interface between engineering and program management.
  • Liaison between engineering teams and our manufacturing team.
  • Maintain working relationships with our suppliers and our Global Supply Chain team.
  • Provide Bill-of-Material (BOM) and schedule inputs for EGSE projects.
  • Complete and submit documentation in support of EGSE procurement.  Track material procurement status.
  • Track ongoing EGSE tasks and escalate any tasks falling behind schedule.  Develop resolutions for project issues.
  • Maintain functional relationships with stakeholders in supporting departments.
  • Help push process improvement initiatives to completion.
  • Actively and effectively participates and contributes in a positive manner while supporting team decisions and goals.
  • Supporting the engineering team with other technical tasks.
  • Act with safety as your number one priority through every aspect of the role.
  • Complete day-to-day activities with general oversight of senior engineers.

Desired Experience:

  • Management or tracking of projects through a product life cycle.
  • Cost Account Management (CAM) or similar cost management.
  • Ability to read system level electrical schematics and parts lists and identify basic electronic components.
  • Experience with classified test systems or systems subject to cyber security policies.
  • Use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Forms, etc.).
  • Demonstrated attention to detail when completing forms and writing technical documentation.

Also seeking experience in any of the following:

  • Use of basic electronics test equipment such as DMMs and power supplies.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow standard test procedures.
  • Electrical or Electronics related technical skills.
  • Use of Visio or other types of CAD software.
  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Special Test Equipment (STE), Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), or Hardware Integration Labs (HIL).
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree and 0 years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Active Secret clearance.  Active DoD Secret clearance preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Salary Range: $50,100.00 - $75,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
