Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Mission Assurance Manager 3. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Northrop Grumman Space Sector.

What You’ll Get To Do:  

Northrop Grumman Space sector is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Mission Assurance Manager to lead sector Mission Assurance compliance activities. The selected individual will report directly to the Strategic Deterrent Systems Senior Director of Mission Assurance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing overall management of Mission Assurance activities by setting and operating to objectives, and providing guidance based on goals, objectives, and company policy.
  • Maintaining compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the performance and quality of products conform to established standards, specifications and customer requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance through establishment and execution of internal surveillances and audits across the SDS division, including numerous sites across the U.S.
  • Leading compliance and verification across the SDS division QMS Standard Policies and Procedures (SPPs) to ensure alignment to both sector and Corporate-level updates and changes.
  • Proactive administration of division-level Standard Policies and Procedures (SPPs).
  • Establishing and managing performance metrics to facilitate and maintain alignment to continuous improvement activities in conjunction with the Division-level LEAN organization activities.

  • Exercising the ability to influence others at all levels and have demonstrated leadership skills leading multi-function and technical working groups while directly contributing to programs and proposals.
  • Experience establishing strong, collaborative, working relationships with operating and business unit leaders, and customer quality representatives.
  • Serving as a role model for diversity and inclusion through seeking out and including diverse opinions and perspectives, to include the ability to solve complex problems by actively seeking information and new ideas from a variety of sources.
  • This role has the potential to travel up to 25%.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   

You’ll Bring These Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in Mission Assurance, Quality Assurance, Program Management, Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing; or a Master’s degree and 6+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing and leading teams in an AS9100 / ISO9001 environments
  • 3+ years of formal leadership experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically as necessary
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: 

  • NG QMS familiarity
  • AS9100 / ISO9001 / AS9145 / AS6500 implementation experience
  • Aerospace/Defense Manufacturing with DCMA/DCAA interface experience
  • Lean Agile and/or Six Sigma certification and experience
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

Salary Range: $141,900.00 - $212,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
