Description
Under the direct authority of the Head of the EFM Corporate Services Division in the Directorate of Internal Services, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all business development and administration management of the work of the EFM Department to contribute to its effective operational activities.
Duties
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- identifying business evolution and development opportunities;
- coordinating strategic plans for the development of ESA’s establishments and centres, working closely with key stakeholders within the Estates and Facilities Management Department and in customer directorates as well as at ESA Corporate level;
- coordinating departmental management processes and policies, including risk management, departmental QMS activities and lessons learned, ensuring their consistent application across the Department;
- coordinating departmental planning, monitoring and reporting of main activities, objectives, schedules, cost and income and administering customer SLAs, including service/cost traceability and income recovery;
- preparing and maintaining the Department’s management files relating, for example, to departmental objectives, strategic plans, five-year plans, annual work plans, contract renewal plans and budget histories;
- providing project management support throughout the Department, including overall project control and quality support;
- providing cost controlling and accounting support to small sites and departmental corporate activities; coordinating the operation and evolution of a departmental business analysis framework, including key performance indicators and key internal benchmarking;
- contributing to effective communication of the Department’s activities;
- acting as departmental interface with the Directorate’s Business Unit Controller.
You will also be responsible for identifying, assessing, managing and reporting the health and safety risks in your area of responsibility.

A master's degree in a relevant discipline is required for this post.

In principle, recruitment will be within the advertised grade band (A2-A4). However, if the selected candidate has less than four years of relevant professional experience following the completion of the master’s degree, the position may be filled at A1 level.
