We are looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee Maxar Space's payroll process. This role can be based remotely in the U.S. This role is part of our Space segment that specializes in building satellites. In this role you will managing a staff of one.

Responsibilities include:

•Ensure payroll accounting is accurate.

•Assist payroll accountant with discrepancies in the payroll cash account.

•Implement automated payroll distribution coding from Workday into SAP.

•Liaison with HR and timekeeping compliance.

•Assist with payroll processing as necessary.

•Execute procedures in accordance with company policies.

Minimum Requirements:

•Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree

•Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience

Preferred Skills/Competencies:

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•Experience with Workday and SAP

•Advance Excel user

•Adherence to concepts of teamwork, cooperation, self-control, and flexibility to get work done

•Demonstrated independence and self-motivation to solve problems and work productively

•Prioritizes workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

•General understanding of US GAAP

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$90,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually.

 

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
