We are looking for a Product Designer comfortable working on technical digital products for technical users: performing user research and translating insights into function and intuitive designs. The ideal candidate is adept at working with complex products and use-cases; critical thinking and an analytical mindset is needed. They should be curious, a self-starter, and thrive in a highly collaborative environment.

** This is a hybrid role that requires the designer to be on-site at our Greenwood Village office 3 days a week with flexibility around our 10am – 3pm core hours while working remote the remaining 2 days. **

Responsibilities:

Own the UI/UX design process for York Space Systems' ground software including wireframing, prototyping, user testing, developing personas, user journey mapping, and design hand-off.
Partner with product and engineering to define user problems and ideate on solutions.
Translate quantitative and qualitative insights into testable ideas.
Validate design decisions through user research and insights.
Presents design decisions in an effective, cohesive manner that enables others to follow the through process and understand how the design addresses pain points leading to a better user experience.
Collaborate with Senior Product Designer, Product Managers, SME’s and Stakeholders on defining and implementing new product features and functionality.
Assist with building out and maintaining a design system.

Required Qualifications:

2-4 years of UI/UX design experience, conducting user research, and using insights to make data-driven decisions.
Experience taking ownership of complex design problems, from discovery, concept, validation phases, right through to delivery of solution.
Expertise in Figma and preferably FigJam as well.
Knowledge of industry standards and accessibility needs for web.
Willingness to adapt to new processes and learn new skills as needed.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Comfortable communication and presenting to internal teams and leadership.
Ability to accept and provide constructive feedback.
Effective oral and written communication skills and an ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment.
Thrive in a dynamic environment.
Although not required, experience in enterprise software design, particularly in the aerospace industry, or data visualization domains would be a major advantage.
