This Mid-Level Environmental Test Technician role is designed to build on your existing Test Technician skills and abilities while providing continued development to enhance your skills for future opportunities that may include other more senior team contributor roles and advancement opportunities.
In this role, you will support Satellite RF Electronic box, antenna, and battery testing using thermal vacuum and vibration test equipment at our Littleton, Colorado manufacturing facility. This role is will primarily work a 1st Shift, 9x80 schedule, Monday through Friday, 6am – 3:30pm.
This role will offer you the following daily challenges:
• Assist with the mentoring and training of junior level team members.
• Perform duties in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical workspace.
• Operate and maintain thermal, thermal vacuum, and vibration test equipment.
• Construct, calibrate, adjust, and maintain assigned test equipment, supporting components, devices, and systems.
• Conduct troubleshooting on test equipment to identify, correct, and repair as needed.
• Perform test operations in accordance with guidelines set in engineering drawings, written work instructions, and verbal instructions.
• Report test data in prescribed format to meet specification guidelines.
• Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions to support
environmental testing.
• Conduct thermal, thermal vacuum, and vibration testing on Satellite RF electronic box, antenna, and batteries.
• Perform Basic arithmetic functions to quantify weight measurements, dimensional measurements compound mixing.
• Interact with key project/program stakeholders.
• Must be self-motivated and a quick learner.

Basic Qualifications:
To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills including experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Able to work alternate shifts when required to support ongoing business operations including occasional holidays and weekends to support key critical business operations.
• Basic understanding of flight hardware, instrumentation and process controls.
• Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as work independently.
Desired Skills:
If you possess these key skills, you will be able adapt to this role more quickly:
• 2 years test experience in aerospace hardware production.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics or process flow diagrams.
• Knowledge of mechanical skills (i.e. basic piping, mechanical assembly).
• Familiarity using electrical multimeters.
• Ability to work per a written test procedure.
• Low voltage electrical wiring skills.
• Basic understanding of vacuum processes and technology.
• Basic understanding of instrumentation and process control.
• Basic understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and ladder logic.
• Basic understanding of mechanical / physics concepts such as vibration, force, and thermodynamics.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Solid interpersonal communication skills.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $39,500 - $75,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
