We're on the lookout for a savvy DevSecOps Engineer with Kubernetes expertise to lead the charge in migrating and managing our services. Note: US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory for this position and required for consideration. Must be open to acquire CI Poly.

Location: 

  • Primary: Virginia (Chantilly, Springfield), Michigan (Ypsilanti), Missouri ( St Louis) , Colorado
  • This position requires shared on-call responsibilities for approximately 12 weeks.
  • Willingness to work 80% or as needed in a SCIF environment with some on-call or after hours onsite support for customer’s mission

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Independently administer, troubleshoot, and tune existing Kubernetes components.
  • Ability to standup an automated pipeline and assist team with deploying code into a Kubernetes cluster.
  • Design and apply hybrid strategy (cloud and local virtualized) for existing and future architecture needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, automation pipelines, and infrastructure issues.
  • Design and apply hybrid deployment strategy (cloud and local virtualized).
  • Strong systems background with ability to work on a small team of engineers and also interface with global user base.
  • Communicate with multidisciplinary SAFe Agile teams and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.

Skills Required

  • 8+ years of technical experience with DevSecOps - Kubernetes experience required.
  • Open source and custom application deployments and maintenance experience.
  • Capable of working effectively with a geographically distributed ops & development team
  • Communicates effectively with customers and team in written and oral forums
  • Willingness to work onsite 80% or as needs dictate
  • Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in a technical field.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship

Additional Skills Desired

Some familiarity in these areas would be fabulous.

  • An adaptable and solution centric mindset that embraces technology enablers.
  • Familiarity with common geospatial industry software, tools, concepts, and DevSecOps
  • Familiarity with concepts such as Data visualization; Data management, Data integration, User Interface, Databases
  • Experience with
    • distributed processing methods and tools, such as REST APIs, microservices, IaaS/PaaS services.
    • developing and deploying web services
    • development and networking inside air-gapped systems
    • supporting software in a production environment
    • working with open-source resources in a government computing environment
    • Big data technologies such as Accumulo, Spark, Hive, Hadoop, ElasticSearch
  • Strong Linux skills and familiarity with hybrid cloud/on-prem architecture, AWS, C2S, and  OpenStack.
  • Can work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • CompTIA Security+ or comparable certification for privileged user access.
  • Experience in/or supporting military/intelligence or knowledge of some IC PED systems is a plus!

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$127,000.00 - $213,000.00 annually.
