We're on the lookout for a dynamic DevSecOps Engineer with JupyterHub prowess, ready to join our tight-knit solutions oriented team. As a crucial part of our multi-disciplinary ops, software, and analytics crew, the ideal candidate will bring methodical expertise and a mission-focused mindset.   • Note: US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory for this position and required for consideration. (Open to acquire CI Poly required).

Location

  • Primary:  Virginia (Chantilly), Michigan (Ypsilanti), Colorado, Missouri (St Louis)
  • This position requires shared on-call responsibilities for approximately 12 weeks.
  • Willingness to work 80% or as needed in a SCIF environment with some on-call or after hours onsite support for customer’s mission

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Perform design, implementation and maintenance for JupyterHub CI/CD solutions to support rapid development and automated integration.
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and configure JupyterHub, Kubernetes, Docker deployments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, automation pipelines, and infrastructure issues.
  • Design and apply hybrid deployment strategy (cloud and local virtualized).
  • Strong systems background with ability to work on a small team of engineers and also interface with global user base.
  • Communicate with multidisciplinary SAFe Agile team and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.

Skills Required

  • 4+ years of technical experience developing and administering Python and R based software for the intelligence community and/or big data analytics
  • Demonstrated experience with LINUX system administration
  • CICD development experience with Jupyter, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible
  • Open source and custom application deployments and maintenance experience.
  • Capable of working effectively with a geographically distributed ops & development team
  • Communicates effectively with customers and team in written and oral forums
  • Willingness to work onsite 80% or as needs dictate
  • Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in a technical field.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship

Additional Skills Desired

Some familiarity in these areas would be fabulous.

  • An adaptable and solution centric mindset that embraces technology enablers.
  • Can work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with common geospatial industry software, tools, concepts, and DevSecOps
  • Familiarity with concepts such as Data visualization; Data management, Data integration, User Interface, Databases
  • Experience with
    • distributed processing methods and tools, such as REST APIs, microservices, IaaS/PaaS services.
    • developing and deploying web services
    • development and networking inside air-gapped systems
    • supporting software in a production environment
    • working with open-source resources in a government computing environment
    • Big data technologies such as Accumulo, Spark, Hive, Hadoop, ElasticSearch
  • Linux skills and familiarity with hybrid cloud/on-prem architecture, AWS, C2S, and OpenStack
  • CompTIA Security+ or comparable certification for privileged user access
  • Experience in/or supporting military/intelligence or knowledge of some IC PED systems is a plus!

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$107,000.00 - $179,000.00 annually.
