Requirements:

An opportunity to join us during a period of substantial growth as we prepare to launch our new cutting edge products.

Based on-site at our Engineering Campus in Reading; you’ll become part of a high functioning team creating the first of their kind products through to low volume manufacture. No day is the same with a variety of skilled activities.

We operate three shifts; day shifts (9am - 5.30pm) early shifts (6am - 2pm) and late shifts (2pm - 10pm) with extra allowances on top of base salary for early or late shifts. Ideally, you'll be happy to work either the early or late shift on a two week rotation with the team. Whilst training, you'll start on a day shift.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Follow work instructions - ensuring that each assembly is built consistently to high quality
  • Interaction with the shop floor materials management system, building to schedule against works orders
  • Reporting and verifying data, recording serial numbers, subcomponents and simple test Data (pass/fail) and updating associated records
  • Operate test equipment to check printed circuit boards (PCBs) subassemblies and the full terminal
  • Material handing – transferring product from one build stage to a subsequent one, as well as handling of parts within the sub assembly area
  • Request ordering of consumable materials

Requirements

Ideally; You’ll Have:

  • An understanding of building electrical sub-assemblies in a low volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience with building complexed electromechanical interconnecting systems within a cell manufacturing environment, including handling of PCBAs and cable harnesses as well as mechanical parts
  • Experience with the day to day assembly of satellite terminals
  • Team player attitude that contributes to improvement activities and highlights issues / changes required to improve quality and throughput whilst tightly following safety production and quality processes
  • Good communication skills within the team and with the onsite engineering team
