Internship conversion position for ETG/AAPS/iCASA. This position will be located at in El Segundo, CA
Aerospace’s Integrated Cost and Schedule Analysis (iCASA) Department for intern conversion as an MTS with experience in cost and schedule estimation and analysis. This growing bi-coastal department supports a wide range of customers in the National Security, civil, commercial, and international space communities. iCASA collects lessons learned from a wide variety of programs to help develop better cost, schedule, and risk management techniques.
iCASA is seeking an early career Cost and Schedule Analyst to join a diverse, innovative, and highly productive team of cost and schedule professionals.
Work Model:
This position will be a hybrid work model and offer partially remote with some onsite work required in either El Segundo, CA
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct research and analysis of schedule and technical data, along with the development of schedule risk assessments to support the government in the procurement of cost-effective space systems for a wide customer base: DoD, Civil and Commercial, and the Intelligence Community
- Analyze cost and technical data to assess credibility of government and industry cost and schedule estimates
- Participate in Life Cycle Cost Analysis, Evaluation of Contractor Cost Activities, Concurrent Engineering and Trade Studies
- Utilize industry schedule tools to develop and/or evaluate Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), conduct Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs) and structural integrity analyses
- Actively engage with senior staff in the development of cost and schedule methods and models. This entails supporting cost research/cost engineering activities, updating historical databases, and deriving cost/schedule estimating relationships/metrics/heuristics
- Document analysis and present technical, cost, and programmatic data/findings to peers, management, and customers
- Training and mentorship will be provided

What You Need to be Successful [5-8 bullets recommended]
Minimum Requirements:
- Pursuing a MS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or related discipline from an accredited college/university program and to be conferred within 12 months
- Prior internship at The Aerospace Corporation
- 0-1 year of industry experience
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Experience with concurrent engineering methods and cost tools (e.g. The Aerospace Concept Design Center Cost Models)
- Experience using industry scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project and/or Milestones Professional)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Knowledge of space, ground, and launch systems highly desirable
- Familiarity with the DoD acquisition process
- Familiarity with industry cost/schedule tools (e.g., SEER, ACEIT/JACS) and standard cost/schedule methodologies
- Experience with concurrent engineering methods and tools
- Computer programming and modeling, especially for purposes of developing tools to estimate the cost of space, ground, and launch systems
- Current DoD TS and/or SSBI/SCI Clearance

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
