Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Aircraft Painter 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a full time position located in Clearfield, UT.

This role is for a hands-on person with great attention to detail, and top focus on quality.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares for painting by masking, stripping, sanding, prepping aircraft sections and components
  • Blends and mixes paints, inks, and coatings to proper spraying consistency
  • Must be able to perform detail touch ups
  • Coordinates processes for painting production parts
  • Able to work with various chemicals to complete scope of work
  • Able to obtain half & full face respirator certification
  • Daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems
  • Use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness

Basic Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma and Minimum of 6 years’ painting/surface prep experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment.
  • Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead
  • Must be able to access small confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment
  • The ability to pass Special Medical/Respiratory Exam.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain program access
  • Ability to work a rotating shift as needed
  • The ability to pass Special Medical/Respiratory Exam.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • Low observable coating experience or courses
  • Completion of an A&P certificate program

Salary Range: $63,200.00 - $105,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
