The Advanced Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Program (AMTAP) is a United States Department of Labor (USDOL) Registered Apprenticeship. The AMTAP program offers technician apprentices industry recognized certifications and advanced training required to work at the Lockheed Martin Space in Valley Forge, PA.

· Participate in a 9 week paid training program (continued participation is contingent upon successful completion of each prior step)
· 9/80 schedule - every other Friday off.
· Paid $15.00/hr with benefits during training
· Offered Medical (HDHP), Dental and Vision Benefits
· Learn technical skills such as solder, cable harnessing and conformal coating
· Have the opportunity to earn several industry and IPC certifications
· Opportunities for potential full time employment for graduating team members, including increase in base pay if hired full-time
Basic Qualifications:
HS Education or Equivalent
• Hand eye coordination and fine dexterity skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment
• Ability to demonstrate learning agility to pass both written and hands-on certification requirements
• This position will be located at a facility that requires special access.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience with M.S. Office applications
• Electronic/Electrical Theory background
• Familiarity with Aerospace Environment/
• Experience in a production environment
• Demonstrate integrity and conflict resolution

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
