SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:  The Quality Engineer will work closely with Tether’s engineering, assembly, and testing teams to monitor and implement aerospace Quality Management best practices, including maintaining AS9100 certification standards.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Gather data and build metrics for manufactured products.
  • Act as Quality Rep in MRB (Material Review Board).
  • Participate on “red teams” for urgent resolutions.
  • Participate in Safety meetings.
  • Manage Problem Failure Reports and metrics.
  • Facilitate Production Readiness Meetings for new products.
  • Report metrics at Quality and Ops meetings.
  • Perform Audits to ensure QMS (Quality Management System) is being followed.
  • Log, Work and Manage Continuous Improvement Projects.
  • Serve as a Quality Rep on the Change Review Board.
  • Update supplier approval status and communicate vendor defects
  • Serve as quality customer return focal for failure analysis and corrective action

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering, Quality, or Computer Science related field
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing quality certification program such as ISO 9001/AS9100
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Statistical analysis experience or related college courses
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and other software.
  • Certified lead auditor

Washington state pay range:  $90,000 to $130,000

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
