Job description
To support the companyβs growth we are looking for a Production Mechanical Engineer in the Production Engineering team to join our global Space Missions Department. You will report to the Production Engineering Team Lead.
Requirements
Be part of Preliminary Design Reviews of new HW designs and releases and responsible for their handover from Engineering to Production.
Driving the assembly, integration, and testing of new HW designs on production satellites
Work closely with AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) and Mechanical Team members to improve satellite mechanical hardware.
Be an active part of the NCR process
Process documentation
Support with production stations and tools organization
Support with qualification models build
Qualifications
BSc/BE or higher education in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.
Minimum 2 years of experience working as a mechanical/aerospace engineer.
Prior experience in Autodesk Inventor/Vault (or ability to switch from a similar design/PDM software).
Experience in mechanical constructions, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and manufacturing processes.
Good knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis), including statics, modal, and dynamics.
Good knowledge of DFM (Design For Manufacturing) and DFA (Design For Assembly).
Good knowledge of Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis - DFMEA.
Excellent coordination and communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Hands-on approach: be prepared to use a screwdriver!
Nice to have:
Experience in space systems
Prior experience in working with workshop tools (milling machine, lathe).
Knowledge of deployable mechanical systems.
Knowledge in composites, preferably honeycomb/sandwich and carbon fiber structures.
