What do we do?
ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.
What are we looking for?
ICEYE is looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our High Altitude Pseudosatelite (HAPS) team tasked with developing uncrewed, stratospheric electric aircraft. You will help build avionics components for our aircraft and have the chance to implement and test your solutions on the field.
You will be part of a small, dedicated team facing an exciting challenge. You will get to work with a world-class team on a project that has a real impact and will set a new mark in aviation history. What you will do:
- Development of novel mixed-signal and power electronics for aircraft.
- Development of high energy density power systems.
- Testing electronic prototypes at the board level and the systems level.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams from various domains during all phases of development.
- Document designs, specifications, and test results.
- Providing support for flight test campaigns as required.
Requirements
Must have:
- 2+ years of practical experience in Electronics Engineering.
- Experience with board-level design, including schematics, PCB layout, simulations, etc.
- Expertise in Electronic system prototyping.
- Experience with soldering and PCB rework
- Familiarity with electronic laboratory equipment and advanced measurement techniques.
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to conduct in-depth root-cause analysis of failures.
- Basic programming skills, with a focus on Python.
- Good command of the English language, both in written and oral communication.
Preferred to have:
- Proficiency in one or more specialized areas: electromechanical circuits, instrumentation circuits, battery systems, and power distribution systems.
- Experience with Altium Designer.
- Hands-on experience in aircraft prototyping & manufacturing.
- Experience in harness design.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical CAD tools.
