Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Property/Asset Management Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at our Promontory UT facility.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring company and government property control activities follow policy and FAR Part 45 property regulations. This position will be responsible for overseeing management systems, manuals, policies and regulations to ensure contractual and continual accountability of government, customer, and company assets. This management position is also responsible for all external interface with DCMA and Government customer points of contact with respect to Government Property matters.

This position will manage a staff of property professionals and will require travel to various local sites to perform internal assessments and training as required. It will also report directly to the Space Systems Sector Director, Property/Asset Management.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating activities for both direct and indirect reports at site and division levels.
  • Acting as the focal interface with new projects, government agencies, customers, and company management on topics that relate to Asset Management.
  • Ensuring assets are managed throughout their life cycle. Ensures all current and new asset management systems and process are compliant with requirements and regulations (e.g. FAR 45, DFARS 245) and company polices.
  • Increasing value by driving efficiencies through strategically aligned property resources, processes and systems.
  • Working with management teams within the division and sector to develop innovative solutions for complex processes and issues.
  • Ensuring the company stays ahead of changing industry trends related to property management and promote better understanding of the property organization’s role throughout the company.
  • Advising management of critical project completion dates. Develops and recommends alternative schedules and recovery plans.
  • Overseeing and managing property department budgets.
  • Establishing proposal estimating data sheets for asset management activities.
  • Attending and supporting EAC meetings and PMR and IPT meetings, as applicable.
  • Negotiating rent and usage charges and purchases of government assets, with Contracts, Program Management, DACO/ CACO/DCMA and other agencies or customers, as applicable.
  • Performing data analysis to mitigate asset business system risk, identifying opportunities for improvement and planning for resource requirements.
  • Managing internal contractor self-assessment schedules and reviews.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance, or related program with 10+ years of related experience in Property/Asset Management - OR - a Master's degree from an accredited university with 8+ years of related experience in Property/Asset Management.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a lead/supervisory capacity.  Demonstrated increasing leadership experience.
  • Possesses strong leadership and communication skills, ability to counsel, coach, develop, and motivate staff of professionals.
  • Ability to work with diverse levels of internal/external customers, i.e., DCMA, OEM Customers.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of asset management principles, theories and concepts as well as strong working knowledge of FAR Part 45, (52.245-1), the NASA and DFAR supplements, and DoD regulations related to property management.
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance.   US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Professional Property Manager (CPPM) preferred.
  • Knowledge or understanding of MMAS, ISO/AS9100, and SOX standards that impacts asset management.
  • Active DoD security clearance.  US Citizenship required.
  • Strong PC skills especially with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Deltek CostPoint and Asset Smart Management System a plus.

Salary Range: $117,300.00 - $175,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
