Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space systems – Propulsion Division is currently seeking a Mission Assurance Energetics Manufacturing Engineer to provide leadership to our Safety & Mission Assurance Teams working with the Motor Value Stream in our Kennedy Space Center, Florida offices.
Description & responsibilities:
The Mission Assurance Energetics Engineer is responsible to focus on developing, establishing and maintaining Mission Assurance policies and procedures, processes and controls thereby ensuring both performance and quality of highly energetic, static sensitive, or corrosive manufactured products that conform to established company, international (AS9100), and governmental requirements, as well as lasting customer satisfaction.
Understands the design intent, failure modes, requirements and specifications of the product as well as the manufacturing processes, process controls, statistics, SPC, and quality inspections. Implements qualification and change management processes to ensure products or services meet customer requirements.
Provides expertise and guidance in interpreting governmental regulations, agency guidelines and internal policies/procedures to assure compliance and will serve as liaison between Kennedy Space Center S&MA and various other organizations including government agencies. Works directly with operating entities to ensure that inspections, statistical process control analyses, and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements, meet specifications, and improve processing. Supports cross function matrixed investigation teams with emphasis on root cause analysis, process failure modes, and effective analysis. In this Mission Assurance Engineering role, experience with RSRM flight avionics box and associated harness receipt, bench test, installation, testing/automated checkout, and troubleshooting is preferred. Candidate shall have a strong Mission Assurance background including experience with nonconformance generation, processing, dispositioning, and associated corrective action[s]. Space Launch System solid rocket booster hardware familiarization, hardware processing, and software script/coding knowledge is preferred.

Requirements:
• BS degree - Classical Engineering Degree (Chemical, Mechanical or Aerospace) is preferred.
• 2 years’ experience with BS, 0 years with MS
